After manipulating Isaac Dingle into revealing where a hidden key to Butler’s Farm is, Tom sneaks in to retrieve a tablet. As he believes he’s alone, Tom begins smashing the tablet to eliminate incriminating evidence, unaware that his young cousin Carl King Jr. is secretly watching him.
Meanwhile, tensions rise as Tom’s manipulative behavior causes a rift between Amelia Spencer and the Dingles. Amelia, feeling guilty for the situation, attempts to convince Lydia Dingle that Tom isn’t as bad as she thinks. Lydia, however, knows better and tries to open Amelia’s eyes to the truth.
Elsewhere, Laurel Thomas and her son Arthur’s strained relationship hits a new low. Despite Nicola King’s efforts to reconcile the pair, her involvement only escalates the conflict. As Laurel’s love life with Charles Anderson faces its own complications, Charles decides to break things off, leaving Laurel unsure about the future.
In another corner of the village, Billy Fletcher’s secret life comes to light. Hiding injuries from an illegal boxing match, Billy refuses medical attention, fearing his wife Dawn will discover how he’s been earning extra money. Mackenzie Boyd grows suspicious, especially when he finds a bloodied Billy at his door.
Lastly, Kim Tate grapples with doubts about her marriage to Will. After enjoying a dinner with her financial advisor, Kim is left questioning whether her attempts to provoke Will are worth it.
