Today’s episode takes us on an emotional rollercoaster as Kristen storms into the DiMera mansion, confronting EJ about Brady’s capture. Kristen is furious, but EJ calmly informs her that he has an unexpected ally—Sarah, the very victim herself. Sarah’s memory has conveniently returned, and EJ wastes no time gloating about it. But Kristen isn’t buying it. She believes that Sarah is lying, just like she had before.
Kristen reminds EJ that previous attempts to restore Sarah’s memory failed, especially with Marlena’s help. She finds it highly suspicious that Sarah’s memory has suddenly returned right after Brady’s charges were dropped. EJ, however, is adamant. He defends Sarah’s integrity, insisting that as a Horton, she’s a respectable citizen. But Kristen doesn’t let him off the hook. She reminds him that Sarah has lied about her child’s paternity—*twice*.
As their argument escalates, Kristen accuses EJ of projecting his anger about Nicole onto Brady. EJ fires back, claiming Kristen is still in love with Brady. He promises that Brady will pay for what he did to Sarah, but Kristen leaves, vowing to stop EJ in his tracks.
Meanwhile, at the police station, Brady is trying to make amends with his son, Tate. In a heart-wrenching scene, Brady reveals that despite what it looked like, he hadn’t been drinking the night before. Tate, initially skeptical, begins to trust his father again. Brady apologizes for the chaos his situation has caused, especially after learning that Tate had been caught up in the drama with Holly.
Tate confesses that he and Holly have been fighting, and Brady tries to comfort him, advising him to give her some space. But Tate is conflicted. He can’t get over Holly’s actions, especially when he realizes that she was trying to gather evidence against Brady. Brady reassures his son that none of this is his fault and that sometimes people act out because they’re hurt, just like Holly did.
Their conversation takes a darker turn when Tate mentions EJ’s potential involvement in Holly’s actions. Brady’s anger bubbles to the surface, and after Tate leaves, he curses EJ’s name. The tension between the two families is palpable.
Later, Kristen visits Brady in the interrogation room. She’s heard about Sarah’s accusations and offers her help, but Brady is wary. Kristen suggests sending Sarah away, perhaps back to the island where she’s been before, or even dealing with her more drastically—like something out of a mafia novel. Brady is horrified at the thought and urges Kristen to let justice run its course. Kristen, however, can’t help but express her love for Brady and vows to do whatever it takes to protect him.
Once Kristen leaves, EJ appears, gloating about how he’s finally got Brady in his crosshairs. He smugly declares that Brady’s days of evading justice are over. EJ is more determined than ever to make sure that Brady pays for his perceived crimes, signaling an upcoming war between the two men.
In a subplot involving the younger generation, Holly encounters Sophia outside a café. Their confrontation quickly turns ugly when Sophia mocks Holly for her recent actions and accuses her of playing detective, likening her to characters like *Nancy Drew* and *Veronica Mars*. Holly tries to ignore Sophia’s taunts, but Sophia strikes a nerve by bringing up Tate.
Sophia claims that Tate has confided in her about everything that’s been happening between him and Holly. She accuses Holly of using Tate, calling her out for dragging him into her mess. The situation escalates when Sophia implies that she could satisfy Tate in ways Holly never could, resulting in Holly slapping her. Tate arrives just in time to witness the aftermath, and Holly is left defending herself against Sophia’s manipulations.
Tate, exhausted from all the drama, doesn’t want to hear Holly’s explanations. Sophia plays the victim, insisting that she only confronted Holly because of how she’s been treating Tate. Holly, feeling cornered, challenges Tate to choose whom he believes. But instead of defending her, Tate tells Holly that he’s had enough. In a moment of heartbreak, Holly realizes that Tate is breaking up with her, and she storms off, leaving Tate and Sophia behind.
Over at Titan Industries, Xander is keeping a close eye on Brady’s legal troubles. Reading an article about Brady’s arrest, Xander can’t help but gloat. But when Eric shows up, tensions rise. Eric demands answers, asking what Xander was doing in Brady’s room the night he was found unconscious. Xander lies, claiming he wanted to confront Brady about his misdeeds.
Eric, however, doesn’t believe a word. He presses Xander, suggesting that Brady had been poisoned after shaking hands with a man pretending to be part of AA. Xander dismisses Eric’s accusations but grows defensive, warning Eric to leave his office. When Eric departs, Xander is left alone, stewing in his thoughts. He retrieves a gun from his desk, vowing that if the justice system fails, he’ll take matters into his own hands.
As the episode draws to a close, we see tensions rising in all corners of Salem. The battle lines are drawn between Brady, EJ, Kristen, and Xander, while the younger generation struggles to find their way through betrayal and heartbreak. What’s next for these characters? Only time will tell as secrets unravel, and long-standing feuds come to a boiling point.
