Although Melinda quickly adds that Gabby could lose her as a lawyer if that’s what she wants, Gabby insists that she and Stefan have agreed to end their marriage.

Stefan, meanwhile, is at the estate, staring despondently at his wedding ring. EJ enters, trying to lighten the mood with a drink, but Stefan is having none of it. EJ expresses his glee over Brady being in jail, which only earns him a bitter retort from Stefan about EJ’s penchant for imprisoning people and having affairs with his brother’s wife. Tensions rise further when EJ mentions that Gabby made a move on him, prompting Stefan to question EJ’s motives for visiting Gabby in the hospital.

As the two continue to spar, Gabby unexpectedly enters the room, causing EJ to leave and giving her a moment to confront Stefan. Gabby asks why he chose Melinda as his divorce lawyer, and Stefan defends his choice, insisting that he trusts her. Gabby isn’t convinced, asserting that Melinda is easily manipulated due to her crush on Stefan. Their conversation grows tense as Gabby declares there’s nothing left to discuss and heads upstairs to pack her things, leaving Stefan in a state of misery.

The two later share what they believe will be their final farewell, filled with tears and emotional exchanges. Gabby gently touches Stefan’s cheek as they part, each of them grappling with the heartbreak of their crumbling relationship.

In another part of Salem, Xander is busy dealing with his own problems. He’s on the phone at Titan when Kristen walks in, prompting a heated exchange. She inquires about his plans to help Brady, but Xander firmly states he’s done nothing to assist. Kristen informs him that Sarah could be participating in a 5K by spring with the help of Dr. Ralph, piquing Xander’s interest. However, he remains skeptical about Kristen’s motives.

Their conversation takes a turn as Kristen offers Xander and Sarah access to lab data if Sarah agrees to withdraw her accusations against Brady. Xander refuses, prompting Kristen to issue a stark ultimatum: either accept her proposal or risk losing everything.

Meanwhile, Sarah is struggling at the Kirakis Mansion, feeling helpless as she tries to retrieve a toy from her wheelchair. Fiona, who has been feeling guilty about her own actions, comes to comfort her. After some heartfelt words, Fiona acknowledges Sarah’s frustrations and reassures her that she’s doing better than she thinks. As they share a moment, Sarah asks for some privacy, which Fiona respects, leaving her alone with her thoughts.

When Xander arrives home later, he immediately senses Sarah’s distress and tries to lift her spirits. He shares news about Kristen’s proposition regarding treatment but is met with skepticism from Sarah. She feels conflicted about the whole situation, especially regarding her memories of the accident.

The tension escalates when EJ storms into the mansion, thinking Xander and Sarah are discussing the upcoming plea hearing. He informs them about a possible plea agreement for Brady, vowing that justice will be served. However, when Sarah expresses doubts about her recollection of the accident, EJ grows increasingly frustrated, especially when she hints at wanting to retract her statement.

In the interrogation room, Brady is surprised to find Fiona visiting him. She claims she had hoped he would be free by now and has a confession to make. Just as she begins to reveal her thoughts on her mistakes, Kristen bursts in, interrupting the moment. She confronts Fiona, who identifies herself as Stefan’s mother, before making a bold statement about wanting Brady to serve a lengthy sentence.

Brady, outraged, reminds Kristen that she shouldn’t be at the station, and the two clash once again. Afterward, Eric meets with Roman at Brady Pub to discuss Brady’s intentions to enter a guilty plea. Eric is skeptical and suggests that there’s more to the story, especially given the inconsistencies in Sarah and Xander’s accounts. He begins to suspect that Fiona may have had a role in the accident.

Determined to uncover the truth, Eric decides to investigate further. He heads to a bar where Brady was last seen before the accident and questions the waiter about his demeanor that night. The waiter mentions that a woman left with Brady, leading Eric to suspect that it could have been Fiona. He shows the waiter a photo of Fiona to confirm her identity, and to Eric’s shock, the waiter identifies her as the woman who left with Brady.

As the day unfolds in Salem, the stakes continue to rise for all involved. Will Eric’s investigation expose the truth behind the accident? How will Brady navigate his impending plea deal? And can Gabby and Stefan truly say goodbye, or is there still a glimmer of hope for their relationship?
