A surprise romance is brewing for EastEnders legend Harvey. After a tough period, Harvey and Jean returned from their holiday in Greece. However, the taxi driver unexpectedly showed up to help Stacy with childcare in the pub. Harvey chatted to Kathy and revealed he hadn’t heard from Jean a great deal since being back. The two characters had a lovely evening gossiping, but things took a dramatic turn when a young man stole Cathy’s bag and ran out of the pub.

Just as the youth left, he knocked a bar stool over and injured Cathy’s leg. A while later, Cathy and Harvey were in the cafe. Harvey helped Cathy by tidying up but was then spotted by Cat, and she was suspicious. Harvey said he’s just friends with Kathy, but Cat couldn’t help commenting on the fact he said that exact same thing when MaA entered his life.

Jean was upset to learn that Harvey had been hiding the fact he was giving money to MaA as a way of trying to make up for his son, Aaron Monroe, beating up her husband in a racist attack in 2021. After questioning her trust in Harvey, Jean said goodbye to her family to spend time with Sha, straining her relationship with Harvey. Is he risking too much by getting closer to Kathy?
