A blistering showdown in EastEnders leaves Reese fearing the end. Reese isn’t in prison for suffocating his wife, Debbie, because Sonia Fowler is serving time instead after Debbie’s body was discovered. Both were questioned, but Reese let Sonia take the blame. In recent weeks, the Walford residents have started a “Save Our Sonia” campaign but remain clueless to the fact that it won’t actually lead anywhere unless Reese confesses.
Yesterday was Debbie’s funeral, and Martin organized a wake at the pub for Reese, who was struggling with his emotions after Debbie’s parents barred him from attending the farewell. Just as Reese began his eulogy, he was interrupted by a returning Bianca, who wanted to know why her pregnant sister was locked away for a crime she didn’t commit. Bianca wasn’t prepared to stop until she got a confession out of Reese.
After a confrontation in the pub, Bianca made her way back to Sonia’s place and found Reese, who looked incredibly consumed with guilt. A determined Bianca got very close to getting what she wanted, but things came to a sudden halt due to the arrival of Martin and Cat in the cafe. Cat urged Bianca to talk about her mental health. Bianca admitted she had depression but wasn’t seeking help and left dismissing Cat’s concerns. Outside, Martin found Bianca, who claimed she was seconds away from getting Reese to reveal he’s a killer. Bianca furiously called Reese a murderer and smashed his car window with a rock, determined to free her sister and put Reese in prison. She won’t back down. Will she succeed?
