EastEnders legends have reunited nine years after leaving the soap. Actor Johnny Lebey, who played Paul Coker, was seen posing with his former co-stars Ricky Norwood and Danny Hatchard. The three actors stepped out for a charity night out. Danny rose to fame playing Lee Carter on the BBC One soap between 2014 and 2017. Lee featured in a number of high-profile storylines, including the acclaimed “Who Killed Lucy Beale?” and a hard-hitting narrative dealing with mental health. Danny has returned to the Square twice since his original stint: first in 2019 to support Linda with her alcohol addiction and again in 2020 to advise Mick Carter during his struggles.
Johnny, who currently plays Rex Gallagher on Holby City, joined EastEnders in 2015 as Paul Coker, who would become the first love of Ben Mitchell. Paul tragically died the following year when he was attacked in a homophobic assault. Ricky, meanwhile, played fan favorite Fat Boy between 2010 and 2015. The character was fondly remembered for his friendship with Dot Branning, who he affectionately called “Mrs. B.” Fat Boy was seemingly killed off in 2015. The character made a one-off return last year as part of a flashback episode, which aided in Cindy Beale’s historic return to the Square.
The reunion of these three beloved EastEnders stars has delighted fans of the show. It is a reminder of the lasting impact that the soap has had on its viewers, and it is a testament to the enduring friendships that are formed between cast members.
