The shadowy figure behind Will Taylor’s blackmail escalates their scheme by abducting Kim and leaving ominous clues about her location. This blackmailer, who has been extorting Will for cash in exchange for keeping quiet about his affair with ex-wife Rose Jackson, intensifies their demands as a consequence of Will missing the initial payment deadline due to the recent fire at Moira Dingle’s barn.

The blackmailer now insists on an increased sum of £50,000 to resolve the matter. Desperate to gather the additional funds, Will turns to his rival, Caleb Milligan, for a loan, offering his shares in the Hol business as collateral. After securing £40,000 from Caleb, Will informs the blackmailer that he has managed to collect the full amount.
