The Beginning of the End: Here’s When Blue Bloods Is *Officially* Returning For Its Final Season

Primetime fans have been keeping an eye on the schedule, waiting for an official return date for their favorite shows, and now we know when Blue Bloods is returning for its final season, and when CBS is premiering other beloved shows. The network announced its Fall 2024 schedule on July 13, and it features release dates for the new seasons of Blue Bloods, Fire Country, SWAT, and many more.

Premiere week officially kicks off in mid-October, but the network has a few shows set to return before that, in September. Among them is Survivor, which premieres first on September 18. That will be followed by 48 Hours on September 21st and 60 Minutes on September 22nd, with the network then airing a sneak peek of the new series Matlock after the premiere of 60 Minutes on September 22nd. September will also see a sneak peek of the new series The Summit, airing on September 29th.

October 14th is the official kickoff of CBS’s premiere week, which will run until October 27, with NCIS returning for Season 22 and spinoff NCIS: Origins premiering. Tuesday, October 15 sees the Dick Wolfe FBI trifecta return, with FBI, FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted. On October 16th The Summit will premiere in its time slot, with the 17th will see the premiere of Young Sheldon spinoff Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage followed by the Season 4 premiere of Ghosts, the time slot premiere of Matlock and the Season 2 premiere of Elsbeth. The week continues on Friday, October 18th with the Season 8 premiere of SWAT, the Season 3 premiere of Fire Country, and the final episodes of Blue Bloods.

The week after, because premiere week is never just one week, sees the Season 7 premiere of The Neighborhood and the series premiere of Poppa’s House on Monday, October 21st. On Sunday, October 27th, Justin Hartley’s Tracker returns for Season 2, as does The Equalizer for Season 5.
