The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) sets his sights on a new way to deal with Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn).

The Mustache knows that he cannot defeat Cane unless he has someone on the inside that Cane trusts. That’s where Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) comes in.

Victor plans to manipulate Lily into working with him. He knows that Cane trusts Lily, and if he wants to get anywhere with Cane and find out his plans, he needs someone on the inside. The question is whether Lily will agree to Victor’s spy work? Can she trust Victor enough to have any type of alliance with him?

Victor’s Meeting With Devon And Lily
The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Victor meets with Devon Winters (Bryton James) and Lily to discuss Cane. Victor shares that he needs someone Cane trusts to get information about his plans.

He cannot allow him to take over Newman Enterprises, Chancellor Industries, or any of the other companies in Genoa City. He needs her help, as she is the only one whom Cane might trust enough to give any concrete information to.

Lily listens to Victor’s pitch and weighs her options. After how dirty Victor did her with CHancellor Industries, she isn’t sure she can trust him.

However, at the same time, Cane must be stopped, and if she can help with that, it might be worth the risk of working with Victor.

Devon tells Lily that she must decide for herself. He isn’t sure working with Victor is a good idea, but Cane is responsible for Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) and Chance Chancellor’s (Connor Floyd) deaths.

They both realize that Cane might not have pulled the trigger himself and killed Damian and Chance, but he might as well of. His hired help, Carter (Vincent Stalba) did the deed to make Cane happy. That is about as messy as you can get.

Victor’s Alliance & Lily’s Decision
The week of August 11 spoilers reveal that Victor will make a surprising alliance, and Lily makes a difficult decision. That seems to point to the duo deciding to work together. Victor will require Lily grow closer to Cane to gain his trust so he’ll share his plans with her.
