Blue Bloods Season 14 Images Reveal First Look At 2 New Characters In Final Episodes

New images from Blue Bloods season 14 reveal a look at some new characters that are slated to appear in the series. Blue Bloods is a procedural series that tackles the stories of a group of New York City cops. It features a leading cast including Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Len Cariou, Abigail Hawk, and Gregory Jbara. Blue Bloods is set to end after season 14, which aired its first half of episodes earlier this year. Blue Bloods season 14, part 2 starts up again on October 18, airing episodes weekly on Fridays.

The images show a look at actors Mira Sorvino and Debi Mazar in their upcoming guest star roles in Blue Bloods. Playing DA Evaline Romano, Mazar is seen in the first of the two images, showing up for her new role. The second image shows a look at Sorvino in the role of Fire Commissioner Veronicia Radley, who sits across the table from Selleck’s Frank Reagan.

Along with the images, the Blue Bloods report provided further insight as to how Romano and Radley will fit into the Blue Bloods season 14 story. Mazar will guest star on October 18, and her character will be involved in investigating ADA Erin Reagan’s jury misconduct allegations. Romano will “go head-to-head with Erin,” creating drama with the lead. Sorvino makes her appearance on the show two weeks later, on November 1, with her character hoping to forge a better relationship with Mayor Peter Chase.

While Blue Bloods is taking on new guest stars, the show is coming to a close at the end of season 14. Viewers of the show did not take to this news lightly, with many viewers urging, along with actor Selleck, that the series be picked up again. Despite these pleas, CBS confirmed in May that they were not planning to bring back Blue Bloods.

Despite the widespread disappointment surrounding the Blue Bloods cancellation, it is great to see that the show is still keeping things fresh going into the final episodes. By introducing new guest stars, Blue Bloods will keep up the intrigue even as it nears the end of the road. Mazar and Sorvino are an exciting set of actors to be added to the cast, as they are both experienced actors. Hopefully, their appearances will live up to the intriguing first images as Blue Bloods continues this fall.
