“Tom Selleck Hints at Blue Bloods Revival Possibility Despite Series’ Final Season”

Tom Selleck has teased that perhaps Blue Blood could still thrive with enough support from its fanbase.

Tom Selleck insists “I’m not done” as Blue Bloods premieres its 14th season which has been labelled as its final outing.

The CBS police family crime drama has been running since 2010 with the Reagan family at the heart of it all with their in-house arguments, complex investigations and Sunday night dinners.

Despite the show attracting a whopping 9.54 million viewers last year, Blue Bloods will end with season 14 which made its debut on Friday, February 16.

Not all episodes are going to be released just yet with the series split into two, so fans are going to have to wait until the fall for the second half.

But Frank Reagan star Tom Selleck, who also works as an executive producer on the drama, has hinted there could be a chance to bring the show back with enough support from fans.

Speaking to USA Today, Selleck teased: “I see a lot of very upset people out there. We’ll see what happens.”

The 79-year-old has also made it clear that he wants Blue Bloods to continue, having grown to be a Friday-night staple for so many.

“That meal, at the end of the episode, and Leonard’s [Goldberg, producer] gift of casting are probably why we are still around.

“I love the role. And he’s not done. I’m not done. And I think there’s plenty of room for the show.”

Blue Bloods season 14 will continue every Friday night with the first half of the final series.

A synopsis for episode two, Dropping Bombs, has been revealed ahead of its release next week.

It reads: “Danny and Baez join forces with Danny’s old partner when a serial killer reappears.

“Eddie faces backlash when she tries to help a woman with accuses a sergeant of rape; Jamie clashes with his nephew.”

This isn’t the first time Selleck has been part of an unforgettable show, following his breakout role as private investigator Thomas Magnum in the drama Magnum PI in the 1980s.

He received five Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, going on to win in 1985.

According to his IMDb profile, he is also currently working on an untitled 10th Jesse Stone movie which he has previously confirmed will be his final one.

Jesse Stone, written by and starring Selleck, is based on the Robert B Parker novel series, following a small town police chief who moves to Massachusetts in a bid to start again.
